Here, we compare the 2021 Subaru Forested to the 2021 Hyundai Tucson.

The 2021 Subaru Forester is more powerful

2021 Subaru Forester - SUV | Subaru

The Subaru Forester uses a powerful 2.5-litre, four-cylinder Boxer engine that outputs a healthy 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque. This powerplant is mated to an advanced continuously variable transmission which, in turn, channels the power to Subaru’s symmetrical full-time AWD - the world’s most technologically advanced system of its kind.

The Hyundai Tucson has a choice of two engines. The first one is a four-cylinder 2.0-litre unit that deploys 160 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. This power is channelled to a FWD system in its standard form – AWD is unfortunately an option here.

The second powertrain is a four-cylinder, 2.4-litre engine that outputs 181 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. This unit is still a bit less powerful and the Forester’s standard engine, and it uses an old-fashioned 6-speed gearbox instead of a modern continuously variable transmission.

To sum things up, the Tucson loses the battle in terms of performance.

But efficiency is also a key part of driving. With fuel economy ratings of 9.0 L/100 km in the city and 7.2 L/100 km on the highway, the Forester offers much more value for you (and the planet) than the Hyundai Tucson, which uses 10 L/100 km city and 7.9 L/100 km highway with its base engine and 11 L/100 km city and 9.1 L/100 km with the bigger unit.

The 2021 Subaru Forester is more spacious

Having the proper space to fully enjoy the ride is important in any vehicle, and the Forester provides plenty. With up to 2,155 litres of cargo volume when the rear seats are folded, the Forester is your home away from home. The Tucson can only offer 1,754 litres in the same configuration, which is quite the difference.

The Subaru has much more technology, special features and experiences for you to discover. You can shop for your car online with us. Our representatives are waiting for your call and can answer all your questions.
