New Subaru SOLTERRA is brand’s new electric SUV

The all-new Subaru SOLTERRA will be the brand's first electric vehicle and is going on sale in the middle of 2022. Announced earlier this month, the Subaru SOLTERRA is a battery electric SUV that was developed as a stand-alone model offering only an electric powertrain.

The new SOLTERRA will be built on Subaru’s e-Subaru Global platform which is dedicated for all electric vehicles. Subaru did not announce too many details about the SOLTERRA and we don't know what kind of powertrain or what kind of range it will offer. However we do know that it will come with all-wheel drive and that it will be powered by a proven electrification system developed jointly with Toyota.

We expect plenty of interior space as well as plenty of range as well. We don't know what the SOLTERRA will look like, but from what we can tell from the images released so far, it will have a true SUV shape and a rugged design. Stay tuned to learn more about the all new Subaru SOLTERRA.
