Eight Subaru 2020 vehicles receive IIHS Top Safety Pick designations

Eight new 2020 Subaru vehicles received high safety marks from the IIHS this year including three who were named Top Safety Picks + models, the highest safety score a vehicle can receive when it comes to safety.

The redesigned Subaru Outback, Subaru Legacy, and Subaru Forester each received the TSP+ designation, the best safety grade given by the IIHS. Each model received the highest score in every collision test as well as in active safety technology and headlight evaluations.

The Subaru Impreza, WRX, Ascent, and Crosstrek each received Top Safety Pick designations which is the second highest safety award a vehicle can receive. Each model received the top grade in collision testing.

Subaru vehicles offer unparalleled safety thanks to their advanced all-wheel drive system as well as their Eyesight technology, a range of active safety systems that can prevent accidents if the driver is unable to do so.

“Safety is always at the forefront of everything we do,” said Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) president, chairman and CEO Yasushi Enami. “These Top Safety Pick awards from IIHS reinforce Subaru’s commitment to safety and we will continue to prioritize the safety of everyone on the road.”
