2023 Subaru Crosstrek Plug-in Hybrid - What's new?

The Crosstrek has undergone very little design evolution and still exudes an adventurous personality thanks to its apparent bodywork protections. Overall, there aren’t many significant differences between the new 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Plug-In Hybrid and the previous model. Anyone looking to venture off the beaten path will find its off-road capability, made possible by its standard all-wheel drive, to be a real asset. Nevertheless, Subaru values Crosstrek as a critical product.

Exterior

The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek doesn’t undergo many changes because it is still part of the current generation. However, this isn’t necessarily bad because the vehicle is unquestionably still in style.

As already mentioned, the Crosstrek continues to have an adventure-style design while also evolving significantly. To accentuate this look, it has very visible body protectors. The Crosstrek’s more angular sides give it a more muscular appearance that is countered by the sleek appearance of the lights, which are now connected to the front grille. Even though all visible elements have a new design, the changes are less noticeable at the back.

Interior

The 2023 Crosstrek Plug-In Hybrid’s interior features new seats, upholstery and sound-deadening materials to improve acoustic comfort, especially on long trips. Nearly the entire dashboard we saw in the WRX of the latest generation is used in the 2023 Crosstrek Plug-in Hybrid

Instrumentation is still done with very conventional equipment. The EyeSight cameras on top of the windshield are now much more compact, which is good for visibility because it makes them less intrusive and less compromising.

Technology

Subaru vehicles come equipped with a well-designed, user-friendly StarLink infotainment system that offers a wide range of connectivity options. There is a USB port and standard Bluetooth connectivity. A 6.5-inch touchscreen and its infotainment system are available on the Convenience and Touring trim levels and support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Only the Limited trim level offers the premium infotainment system with voice-activated GPS navigation, a multi-gesture capacitive touchscreen and an 8-inch high-resolution.

Security

The latest version of the EyeSight system is added to the Crosstrek as part of a technological upgrade. Two cameras are used to analyze the surroundings of the car and control features, like lane-keeping and traffic alert, adaptive cruise control and more.

Autonomous emergency braking, collision warning and adaptive cruise control are just a few of the active safety features that are all included in EyeSight. To improve the management of the automated driving functions, the system now includes an additional camera.

Trim and price

The base trim of the 2023 Crosstrek is already available for $24,995. It has everything you need to enjoy on the road, including the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and a 152-hp 2.0-L boxer engine with direct injection. Price ranges from $35,795 for the top trim, Limited. Eight different trims are available for the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek. With this choice, there is a trim level that will undoubtedly suit you, whether you’re an adventurer, sportsman, or businessperson.
