2020 Subaru Forester: Perfect for Winter and All Year

The 2020 Subaru Forester seamlessly blends all-road weather capabilities with modern amenities and plenty of interior space for a comfortable and capable ride that’s sure to satisfy any customer.

Similarly sized to the Outback, the 2020 Subaru Forester is now longer, wider, and more spacious and offers more ride height for those off-road weekend adventures (or for getting to work in Eastern Canada snowstorms, apparently). Of course, the 2020 Subaru Forester features the ever-popular SUBARU BOXER engine along with the Japanese automaker’s renowned Symmetrical Full-Time AWD.

There are six trim levels available of the 2020 Subaru Forester, and each of them is equipped with the same 2.5L DOHC 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER engine that’s good for 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque, and is coupled with a Lineatronic CVT.  Standard across the 2020 Forester lineup is X-MODE, a system that works directly with the engine and all-wheel drive system to modulate torque and power for off-roading.

Regardless of trim level, each 2020 Subaru Forester is equipped with EyeSight. This safety system works with a series of windshield-mounted cameras to prevent front collisions, amongst other things, and keep you (and those around you) as safe as possible on the road.

Because the Subaru Forester was overhauled in 2019, not much has changed for 2020. However, Subaru made a few subtled upgrades that are sure to please such as adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist, a tire pressure monitoring system that displays the pressure of each individual tire, LED license plate illuminators, and a rear-seat reminder that will remind you to check the backseat only if the rear passenger door was opened after unlocking the Forester.

Step inside the 2020 Subaru Forester and you’ll be greeted by a cabin that might seem sparse at first, but it’s all about functionality and comfort in this Subaru, and the Forester does it perfectly. Blending amenities and quality materials, the 2020 Subaru Forester features a standard 6.5” infotainment screen with available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Subaru’s Starlink (on select models), while the Sport, Limited and Premier models have an upgraded 8.0” screen.

All models feature dual USB ports up front, while the Touring, Sport, Limited and Premier also sport dual USB ports in the rear, as well.
