2022 Subaru Forester vs 2022 Subaru Ascent

Subaru keeps producing automobiles with unmatched performance and maximum comfort for drivers and passengers alike. This time, a compact SUV and a family vehicle are added to its vehicle lineup. Here’s a complete comparison of these two cars.

Exteriors

These newly added muscular SUVs are suitable for family and adventurous rides. The 2022 Subaru Ascent, with 196.8 inches, is around 14 inches longer than the 2022 Subaru Forester. Both automobiles include a panoramic sunroof, while the Ascent enjoys a larger panoramic sunroof.

The power liftgate, available in both cars, makes packing and travelling as easy as it gets. The trunk liftgate opens and closes automatically; you need to just click on the keyfob and adjust the opening using the memory option of the power liftgate.

Interiors

Both the 2022 Subaru Ascent and the 2022 Subaru Forester include a 6.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, which provides sound-system control, GPS navigation and several other functions at your fingertips.

Additionally, there is another 6.3-inches display that shows you the car status, temperature and time. It is worth mentioning that these systems are introduced by Subaru STARLINK®, which enables smartphone integration.

Both models provide comfortable leg room for all passengers. The Forester can seat up to five passengers, while the Ascent 2022 accommodates up to eight passengers, making it a perfect vehicle for the family.

Engine

There is no doubt about the efforts made by the engineering team. The branded X-Mode gives you excellent control of your car during inclines and declines. This mode is designed to assist the driver in controlling the gas and brake pedals while simultaneously allowing maximum freedom and control over the car's trajectory simultaneously.

The fuel consumption is average for both vehicles. The 2022 Ascent model comes with a 2.4 L 4-cylinder engine with a robust 260 horsepower, and it can go 24 miles per gallon (MPG) (city) and 31 MPG (Hwy).

However, the 2022 Forester vehicle has an economic advantage with its 182-horsepower, 2.5 L 4-cylinder engine, which can go 24 MPG (city) or 31 MPG on the highway.

Moreover, this model comes with another edge in its Auto Vehicle Hold function. The AVH option helps the driver while stopping on uphills, preventing the car from rolling back after initiating the movement again.

Price

Both vehicles come in seven different models. The 2022 Subaru Ascent 7 models are (Convenience, Touring, Touring*, Onyx, Limited, Limited* and Premier). The starting price is $37,295 for the Convenience model.

On the other hand, the 2022 Subaru Forester also has seven models (Forester, Convenience, Touring, Sport, Wilderness, Limited and Premier), and the beginning price of the Forester model is $29,495. The cost increases as you go further up the vehicle models.

Conclusion

Both vehicles provide advanced technology in a multifunctional SUV. The 2022 Subaru Forester and the 2022 Subaru Ascent are a perfect fit for family use and an ideal option for outdoor activities. The interior provides a cozy space for up to eight passengers, and they give the driver significant control when driving on uneven roads.
